CMS Goodbye Shout Out - May 2012

To All CMS Staff and Students: It's that time of year again. The end is near and people have yet to say goodbye. 10-11-11 Technology Playground Invitation 

Good morning DSC Staff,

You are cordially invited to attend the first Technology Playground this school year Tuesday, October 11th from 2:30-5 in the District Training Room CMS-D150. Technology Playground Details - This exciting weekly event will offer hands-on time with new and current technologies offered within Duneland School Corporation. Feel free to come in and work on current technology projects such as Blogs and Wikis, get some hands on experience on the new Interactive White Board Technology, check out the iPad, iPod Touch or iTunesU at the iTunes Store, or just to play with the different pieces of technology available. This is a playground environment a relaxed, unstructured, learning opportunity. Please join us every Tuesday from 2:30 to 5:00 PM. Please use the CMS main entrance before 3:00PM, and CMS door #2 after 3:00PM. Make sure to wear your DSC ID badge to avoid any inconveniences.

I would like to personally thank each of you who stopped by the playground this year to learn something new, share an idea or check out the latest and greatest technology in the Training Room. Our goal was to provide a place for DSC staff to explore technology in a relaxed, casual, environment. I hope that we have accomplished our goal and that you enjoyed the information we provided both online and face to face. 5-11-11 Hello Duneland School Corporation Staff, I realize that today is an early release day and you might have a meeting after school. I just want to let you know that I will be conducting the playground as usual until 5 and you are welcome to stop by after your professional development time. Next year I will take meeting times into consideration and offer the playground on Tuesdays or Thursdays instead of Wednesdays. If you have any suggestions for the technology playground please reply to this e-mail. Any constructive suggestions are greatly appreciated. We are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to provide technology training here at DSC. Looking for a new technology idea? When your building moves new computers in you'll no doubt have questions about the new software at first. You may wonder about the new ribbon at the top of the screen or where your favorite buttons are now located. To help you make a smooth transition I have compiled a handful of helpful sites for you to explore, at your convenience, about Microsoft Office 2010.
