Reading Apps

Check out the link below for a slide presentation on some great reading apps.  Most are free or low-cost apps.  These are highly-engaging and correspond to the different areas of reading development - phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.  The icon for the app is the upper left-hand corner.  The company and price are listed below the brief description.  Also, look for the stick figures on the bottom left corner.  One figure means a student can work independently or with a little direction from an adult.  Two stick figures mean that the student would benefit from using the app with a good reader (older sibling, parent, babysitter, family member).
